Luis Díaz is ready for a new season with Liverpool. The Colombian player, after his vacation, rejoined the club and is preparing to once again demonstrate his best level, just as he has done since he arrived at Anfield.
Meanwhile, coach Jürgen Klopp gave an interview to ‘The Athletic’, in which he spoke at length about the arrival of Uruguayan Darwin Núñez to the team.
Klopp compared Núñez, and what he expects from himwith what was the dazzling arrival of Luis Díaz in February.
“Luis just stepped in, no pre-season, he played and it was, ‘oh, all good, all set’. The reason was that the way he played in Porto was the way we wanted him to play here, so we didn’t give him a script. and we told him: ‘Take a look at that,'” Klopp says in the interview.
Klopp admitted that his formula was to let him play, freely, since he already knew of his ability.
“We just let him play and then adjust a little bit here and there. That is more or less the case with Darwin. We don’t want to change Darwin in one or two or three weeks.”
In addition, Klopp referred to how he begins to plan his attack to face the next season, after Mané’s departure.
“We have Luis, we have Fabio who can also play on the left, we have Diogo, he is definitely back and all that kind of stuff. Mo is still here, he has been here a long time and he is also good and we have Harvey, so we have so many different options up front that I’m sure I’ve already forgotten some,” he said.
