Liverpool, the English Premier League football club, announced today, Thursday, the recall of its defender, Reese Williams, from his loan to Swansea City, the second division.
Williams has struggled since joining Swansea on the last day of the transfer window in August and has made just seven appearances for the second-tier club in all competitions, his last league appearance against Middlesbrough on December 4.
“I am sad that things didn’t go according to plan but I enjoyed my time at Swansea,” Williams said on social media.
The 20-year-old played 19 games for Liverpool last season after the club’s defensive resources were exhausted due to injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip and the absence of substitute duo Fabinho and Jordan Henderson as well.
