The Middle East is going through a period of intense fighting that increased this weekend with the launch of hundreds of drones by Iran into Israel, in the midst of the tension that exists between both countries.
The trigger for the bombings would have been a alleged attack by Israel on an Iranian consulate in the city of Damascus last Saturday, April 13.
For its part, Israel says it killed a Hezbollah commander in an attack in southern Lebanon on Tuesday. The senior member, according to Israel, has been identified as Ismail Yusaf Baz, who served as commander of Hezbollah's coastal sector and was a “veteran in various positions in the military wing” of the militia.
Hezbollah and Israel continue the crossfire that they began more than half a year ago, as a result of the war in Gaza and in the midst of growing tension in the Middle East, after the attack carried out over the weekend by Iran with more than 300 drones and missiles fired into Israeli territory that caused no deaths.
