Goodbye to little Safi, the child who fell from the balcony of his aunt’s house didn’t make it
Safi he didn’t make it, the 2-year-old child who fell from the fourth floor of a house in Civitanova Marche (in the province of Macerata) died forever within the hospital walls.
The death dates back to last year November 28, but the news was only sent to the newspapers in the last few hours. A month earlier, precisely on 28 October, Safi was with his family at an aunt’s house, in via Verga, in the municipality of Civitanova Marche. He lived in Porto Sant’Elpidio.
He was playing, while the other family members chatted and spent the Saturday evening. Suddenly, the 2-year-old went out onto the balcony through a left-open French window and climbed onto the balustrade. Safi has lost balance and it’s fell into the void. He first hit the clotheslines on the balcony below and then ended up on the asphalt.
The alarm was immediately raised on 118, health workers reached the house and transported the 2-year-old child in code red to theSalesi hospital in Ancona. Unfortunately his condition immediately appeared desperate. The doctors did everything they could, but they failed to save his life.
Investigations underway into the death of little Safi
The Macerata prosecutor’s office has opened a investigation file and, as a necessary act, they registered the parents and relatives present in the house that Saturday evening in the register of suspects. The investigators also ordered theautopsy examination on little Safi’s little body. The charge is that of negligent homicide. We are now awaiting the results of the test, which are fundamental for establishing theexact cause of death of the minor and to help the authorities reconstruct the last moments before the dramatic accident.
The news of the child’s disappearance has already spread throughout Italy and has thrown thousands of people into despair. Many farewell messages appeared on social media, for another little angel who opened his wings too soon.
