June – One agreement scheme with the University of Genoa to experiment with the teaching of the English language in nursery schools and nursery schools in Liguria was approved by the Regional Council. The experimentation of English language teaching starting from early childhood services from 0 to 6 years will have scientific support the Department of Educational Sciences of the University of Genoa.
The objective is to deepen knowledge of the educational, linguistic and sociological implications deriving from this type of activity. “A first fundamental step to arrive at the experimentation of teaching the English language to Ligurian children from 0 to 6 years old – declares the regional councilor for education Marco Scajola – An ambitious project in which, as the regional council, we strongly believe to give new perspectives to our young people from an early age. Learning English at a very young age represents an important tool to encourage the improvement of the linguistic skills of the entire community. From an educational point of view we are really intervening with initiatives and projects for every age group. We want to be help and support for all Ligurians: from children to the elderly, including children and families.”
