On April 10, activists protested outside an exhibit of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s ‘Dippy the Diplodocus’ dinosaur, which has been on display since April 1907.

Upon entering one of the activists lay down on the ground and his companion hugged the fossil, both showing a white shirt with the name of the group they represent: “The dinosaurs had no choice; we do,” said one of the activists.

Said group is mainly funded by the Climate Emergency Fund, but also receives donations from the public.

On their official Twitter account they commented on what happened: “Two ‘just stop’ oil supporters arrested in Coventry. Victoria and Daniel were arrested this morning after entering an exhibition and highlight the threat posed by new fossil fuels. The plaster is safe, we are not (…)”.

One of the most viral proposals of the environmental group was the attack with vegetable soup on Van Gogh’s painting, located in the National Gallery in London, which was protected by glass, which prevented irreparable damage.
