Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said that consideration of the possibility of imposing new sanctions against Russia will take place on the basis of studying the further situation. This is reported TASS.
“We need to consider [санкционные] measures, having studied the further development of the situation, ”Kishida answered the corresponding question of the deputy in the Japanese parliament. The prime minister also announced the intention of “soon to move to actions regarding the freezing of assets” of representatives of the Russian authorities.

Earlier it was reported that Tokyo is introducing new sanctions against Moscow in connection with the situation in the Donbass. Japan prohibits the issuance of visas to certain Russian citizens and freezes the assets of individuals and organizations. In addition, the country imposes sanctions on the export to Russia of goods that can be used for military purposes. Russian Ambassador to Tokyo Mikhail Galuzin promised that Moscow would respond to these sanctions.
