After having been for many years with only two top 10s (Panatta and Barazzutti), Italy settles a trio in just over 2 years, climbing up to the tenth position in the ranking with the most top 10 players. Sinner is the third new entry of the year after Casper Ruud (13 September) and Hubert Hurkacz (19 October). Now Sinner has a new goal on his hands and that is to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin. With the semifinal in Vienna Sinner jumps, with 3015 points, in eighth position, undermining Rafael Nadal (stopped) and Hubert Hurkacz (defeated in the first round). In the worst case scenario, the South Tyrolean maintains an advantage of 60 points over Hurkacz and 140 over Cameron Norrie. For the mathematical certainty, however, we will have to wait for at least the Masters 1000 of Bercy which assigns an avalanche of points.
