From 29 October to 1 November J-POP Manga will be at Lucca Comics and Games with guests, events and exclusive previews, but not only: the Milanese publishing house reserves several surprises for readers for a return to presence in style!
Milan, 22 October – From 29 October to 1 November J-POP Manga is at Lucca Comics & Games 2021 with many authors and events for a return in the presence in great style and with many news and surprises, in full J-POP Manga style.
For J-POP Manga along with best-selling Tokyo Revengers, Hanako-kun – The Seven Mysteries of Kamome Academy, the new Frieren – Beyond the End of the Journey and Don’t Torment Me, Nagatoro !, (available in a special edition with a message from the exclusive author for Italian readers!) the new BL by Lezhin BJ Alex, the highly anticipated Your Name Visual Book, Cannibale by Yu Aku and Kazuo Kamimura arrive in absolute preview: an extraordinary unpublished work by the author of A chilled crane, L’età of cohabitation, The divorced club, I Fiori del male and Golden Gai. The box containing Bunny Girl Senpai vol. 1-2 + Petit Devil Kohai vol. 1-2, the novel Josée, the Tiger and the Pisces by Seiko Tanabe and much more!
After the successful debut, the Milanese experience Manga Heroes, the exhibition in the Fabbrica del Vapore dedicated to Otaku passions, will also appear in Lucca. Thanks to the special event on the last day Manga Unlimited, powered by Manga Heroes, Beatrice Lorenzi, Alessandro Falciatore (Animeclick), Dario Moccia, Domenico Guastafierro (Plato’s cave), Laura di Molfetta (Le Tsundoku), Maurizio Iorio (Kirio) will celebrate the historic moment of the manga. Roberto Recchioni will animate and provoke the discussion!
J-POP Manga, in collaboration with Crunchyroll and Anime Factory, will offer participants the projections of animated transpositions of its greatest hits. From the big hits of the catalog such as Tokyo Revengers to the long-awaited Don’t Torment me, Nagatoro !, both available at the J-POP stand, in the printed version, and in streaming on the Crunchyroll digital platform! Without forgetting the moving story of Josée, the Tiger and the Pisces, of which the manga collected in the elegant J-POP box set will be available on the stand, the novel – an absolute preview compared to the release in the bookstore and comic store – and the animated feature film screening at Japan Town, after the great success of the three-day event screening in Italian cinemas.

Kazuo Kamimura and Baron Yoshimoto exhibition
The fairgrounds will host reproductions of tables by two masters who have marked the history of the manga, Kazuo Kamimura (The Age of Coexistence, Lady Snowblood, The Divorce Club, A Cold Crane – Story Of A Geisha, The Flowers of Evil) and Baron Yoshimoto (Seventeen), a pioneer of gekiga, was one of the first mangaka to work in the United States.
