Interim reports Tesla reported a record result: delivering more than 240,000 vehicles over a three-month period

Electric cars manufacturer Tesla says it posted a record result in the quarter ended September.

The company’s July-September result was $ 1.6 billion and revenue was approximately $ 13.8 billion. Both grew tremendously compared to the same period last year.

In its interim report published on Wednesday, the company said its sales had improved, especially in the United States and China. It delivered a record more than 240,000 vehicles over a three-month period.

Indeed, Tesla appears to have suffered from a global semiconductor shortage that plagues some of its competitors.

Sirupula however, congestion in world ports has slowed the operation of its plants, according to the company.

Tesla aims to manufacture millions of vehicles annually.

“It looks like there has been quite a resurgence in demand for electric cars,” Tesla’s CFO Zack Kirkhorn said the earnings announcement in a conference call, according to news agency AFP.

“It got a little surprising for us. People want to buy an electric car now and they want to buy Tesla. This is very inspiring for us, ”Kirkhorn continued.

Financial News Agency Bloombergin Tesla’s net sales fell short of analysts’ expectations, but earnings exceeded forecasts. After the announcement of the results, the company’s share fell by less than a couple of percent on the secondary market. This year, Tesla’s share has risen about 23 percent.

July – September was Tesla’s ninth consecutive profitable quarter. Last year, Tesla recorded its first half of the year.
