Al-Ahram newspaper reported that rescue teams pulled out at least nine injured people from the rubble of the two-storey building, in the center of Ahnasiya in the governorate.
The source said that two brothers, aged 8 and 12, and their sister, 11, were killed in the accident. According to what was reported by the Associated Press.
He added that there are three other children among the injured in Beni Suef, 111 km south of Cairo.
It was not immediately known why the building collapsed.
Last September, a four-storey building collapsed in the city of Shubra El-Kheima, Cairo, killing three people.
