Hamburg – In the process of stabbing a 52-year-old, the Hamburg public prosecutor’s office demanded a total imprisonment of four years and ten months on Thursday. The 27-year-old accused got angry while drunk, said the prosecutor in her plea before the regional court. She accuses him of attempted manslaughter and dangerous physical harm.
The prosecution is convinced that on May 8, the German, very drunk, approached the later victim at his van near the Legienstrasse underground station. He spoke to the driver and asked for a cigarette. He came so close that he asked him to keep his distance and put on mouth and nose protection. In the meantime it is no longer clear what sparked the defendant’s anger – the request for the mask, the refused cigarette or the negative behavior of the driver, said the prosecutor.
Annoyed, the defendant knocked the door of the van twice against the foot of the injured party – who then resisted. There was a fight. In the end, the accused stabbed – in front of the victim’s family, said the prosecutor. You assume a reduced guilty capacity because the man had drunk so much. The defendant had testified at the trial that he had a film tear and could not say anything about the crime. He apologized several times to the victim.
The defense pleaded for a suspended sentence for dangerous bodily harm without naming a number. The verdict was due to fall on Thursday (2 p.m.). (dpa)
