Some time ago, the veteran became a victim of scammers. So, a woman called Nina Nesterovna and introduced herself as her granddaughter. She said that she allegedly had an accident and needed a large amount of money to avoid imprisonment. The gullible pensioner handed over 100 thousand rubles to her “granddaughter”. The police managed to identify the criminals and return the stolen funds to the veteran.
Nina Nemchinova went through the whole war – she dug anti-tank ditches and worked at a lumberjack. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday.
On February 28, Yevgenia Lazareva, head of the project of the People’s Front “For the Rights of Borrowers”, told Izvestia that the scammers had come up with a new way of deception. She said that they began to steal money under the pretext of saving funds from sanctions. According to her, the attackers also claim that they will help save funds after the Russian Federation is disconnected from the SWIFT international transfer system.
