A digital influencer from the United States told police that “he can do what he wants” after being arrested after a high-speed chase last Friday, 29.
Damaury Mikula, 18, is accused of ‘screeching tires’ and running a red light on his Dodge Challenger when he spotted a police car parked at the same intersection. Mikula then fled and began the chase, reaching speeds of over 160 kilometers per hour, the police report said.

The officer followed the influencer home and arrested him without incident in his garage. Before being taken to prison, the boy told authorities that he knew he was being pursued.
He said “he is young, earns a lot of money, has a fast car and can do whatever he wants,” the police officer told the local press. “Mr. Mikula warned him that he wanted to do something fun for three seconds, and that cost him”, said the policeman.
The influencer said he earns up to $450,000 a year by posting content on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. He later expressed remorse to police officers and told them that their lifestyle “is not a good way to live.”
