Hyundai has released the documentary “Defying Convention”, which tells the story of the genesis and evolution of the company’s Ioniq brand, dedicated to battery electric vehicles (BEV). The documentary traces the factors that led to Ioniq’s success and illustrates the past, present and future of Hyundai, demonstrating how the company’s success is the result of a radically new approach and an innovative mindset. The narrative voice of the documentary is Erin Baker, automotive journalist and juror of the World Car of the Year.
Since the birth of Ioniq in August 2020, Hyundai has launched two models in the range dedicated to EVs: the mid-size crossover Ioniq 5 and the electrified streamliner Ioniq 6.
