- Analyze your walk
First, what works for one runner isn’t necessarily good for another, so don’t go aimlessly and buy a pair of running shoes just because you thought the shoe was stylish or suggested by a friend. The first thing you need to do is analyze GAIT.
GAIT is a series of actions/reflexes that the foot performs in motion to support, cushion, and balance.
Visit your local shoe store for a GAIT analysis, or if you have a pair of running shoes you can check the wear patterns on the floor to see how they fluctuate and which shoes are right for you.

- Understand Pronation
Pronation is a natural movement of the foot that occurs when the footfalls while running or walking.
There are three types of pronation. We have neutral, overpronate, and supinate (or under pronate).
Neutral Pronation
What you are looking for here is a basic suit in the middle of football, and that sound is mechanically the strongest sound because everything moves in a straightforward motion.
Overpronation
You will notice this from more wear and tear on the inside edge of the shoe. If so, don’t worry as it is very common and often caused by the arch collapse or even flattening in some cases, which in turn leads to that twist. And you will lead in motion as you run.
Supination
If you find that the outside of the shoe is more worn out, you are probably lying. This is not very common, but it is usually due to the long arch of the foot, which means that you have a very hard and pronounced arch of the foot, which causes the outside edge of your shoe to twist in and out.

- Cushioning
This cannot long be considered part of the shoe type. Aside from the colour, the main difference you will notice about the shoes is the amount of padding.

You’ll find one is well padded while the other is much smaller, and if you weigh them on the scales you’ll see an eight difference, which is likely 300 to 400 grams per pair. Well-cared-for shoes are twice as expensive as shoes with minimal padding.
So when should you wear any shoes?
A good running shoe is excellent at absorbing shocks and is suitable for daily training. At the moment they are a little heavier but keep you fit and full and are recommended for long runs.
