The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi revealed the program for the fiftieth National Day celebrations, which includes a diversified schedule of exceptional events and experiences during the period between December 1 and 3, 2021.
This program brings together citizens, residents and visitors to celebrate the National Day, with more than 25 events that celebrate the heritage and culture of the UAE, diversity, tolerance and the tolerant human values inherent in the fabric of its society, in conjunction with highlighting the path of development and achievements of the state during the past fifty years, and anticipating its ambitions and vision for the next fifty, by By organizing heritage and cultural festivals, art exhibitions, concerts, performances, sports activities and fireworks throughout the emirate.
Festive fireworks will light up the Abu Dhabi Corniche, Al Ain City and Al Dhafra region at 9:00 pm on December 2. Fireworks will paint the sky of Al Maryah Island in brilliant colors at 9:00 pm on December 2 and 3. Bawabat Al Sharq Mall also organizes a fireworks display at 8:00 pm on December 2.
The National Day live concerts will begin on November 26 at Al Hosn Palace with Emirati singer Eida Al Menhali, while singer Majid Al Mohandes and artist Aseel Himim sing a selection of their best works on December 1 at Emirates Palace. The audience will be on a date with the artist Hamad Al Ameri on December 2 at Qasr Al Hosn, while the star Ahlam shines on December 3 at the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
On December 2, the Abu Dhabi Air Sports Club will host a skydiving and air swimming show in amazing formations, as 16 parachutists carry the UAE flag while drawing the 50th logo in the sky. In addition, the capital is witnessing an air show in cooperation with the Al-Jazira Club, with about 50 planes led by local pilots performing paramotor and parasailing shows with the UAE flag, which the audience will watch on a large screen, in addition to distributing gifts in the form of vouchers for paragliding, parasailing and flying.
Bawabat Al Sharq Mall is organizing a bus package of activities that will start on December 2 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the National Day show presented by Mohammed Al-Buraiki and Mohammed Al-Saqri. The mall also presents the Sheikh Zayed hologram, and the experience of the Fifty Story Majlis, which tells the story of the UAE over the past fifty years through a group of archival photos, and the two shows are held daily from 10:00 in the morning until 10:00 in the evening until December 4.
The activities will continue, with the 50th National Day celebrations in Marsana in the center of Al Hudayriat Island from December 1 to 3, and extend to Sheikha Fatima Park and Qasr Al Muwaiji.
The National Consultative Council at Qasr Al Hosn will host a documentary film that highlights the beginnings of the Council since the era of Sheikh Zayed the First, leading to the historic opening speech of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace. Manarat Al Saadiyat displays a group of installation works by artists from the Emirates, in addition to organizing a program of workshops, while the House of Mohammed bin Khalifa participates in the fiftieth National Day celebrations by decorating the entire house with colored lights similar to those used on occasions in the past, and Al Jahili Fort celebrates the day The National Museum by displaying historical artifacts, and a range of cultural activities in the fields of arts, music, cooking, and others.
In turn, Yas Island celebrates the Golden Jubilee by organizing a package of unique offers and experiences, while many of its cities, entertainment facilities, hotels and restaurants offer a range of exclusive offers and competitions over fifty days.
In conjunction with the National Day celebrations, the culinary season in Abu Dhabi continues until December 9 in various parts of the capital with a program of shows, events, various experiences and cooking classes that highlight the standards of quality and excellence in the hospitality sector in the emirate.
The Abu Dhabi shopping season returns for the winter season with discounts, promotions and exclusive shopping experiences in the most prominent stores and malls in the emirate from December 2 to January 31, 2022. In addition to the festive experiences and events, the streets of Abu Dhabi are decorated with three-dimensional light formations and creative models to celebrate the golden jubilee, which They shine on lampposts and city roads, leading the public to attractions and events.
