“We encourage Jokers to act in accordance with Western values and to uphold human rights. At the same time, we want to show solidarity with the victims of the human rights situation in Belarus, ”the South End Government says in a press release.

Jokers co-owner and manager Jari Kurri reminded on Tuesday To STTthat the situation in September 2020 was different than it is now. That’s when the Joker’s series opening and going to Minsk was canceled at the last minute.

“Compared to that, it has calmed down now. All in all, we hope that things will be sorted out quickly in Belarus now, ”Kurri said.

According to Kurr, the management of the Jokers is keeping a close eye on what is to come.

“There is nothing to stop us from going to Minsk at the moment. If we need to make any changes, we will of course act accordingly,” Kurri told STT.

South end also opposed the Jokers going to Belarus in August 2020 and threatened a little later boycott Jokers’ matches if the team traveled to Minsk.
