Helldivers 2 It's a third-person shooter, emphasis on “shoot.” The focus of the game is the guns, but the development team is not completely excluding the possibility of including them melee weapons. Players are in fact asking for them via the game's Discord channel.
One user asked if melee weapons and armor dyes were still a possibility, given that there hadn't been an update on either in a month. “What happened? Well, it's been a month, not a year,” community manager Twinbeard responded with a winking face emoji.
“It could still happen. As you know, we've been pretty busy over the last month,” he continued, probably referring to the recent update which has already added some extras, as well as the evolution of the Helldivers 2 player versus Automaton narrative. In any case, melee weapons are “still plausible”.
