First modification:
Venezuela brushed its fingers against the goal of eliminating malaria in its territory. In the 1960s, more than two thirds of the country was free of the disease. However, the cases grew rapidly again and the last decades have represented a setback, with thousands of diagnoses each year. Climate degradation is now known to be responsible for at least a quarter of that rebound.
