Tigres has lived through a time of splendor in the last decade. The UANL team is experiencing the most winning era in its history. Everyone remembers the footballers who helped achieve these achievements: André Pierre Gignac, Javier Aquino, Nahuel Guzmán, Guido Pizarro, and so on. However, there are some players who were part of the squad in this winning process and who do not have enough recognition.
This is the case of Manuel Viniegra, a midfielder who won three Liga MX titles with the felines and a champion of champions between 2011 and 2016. The midfielder left Tigres in mid-2017 and since then has not been able to establish himself in any of the teams. of which he has been part: Sharks Rojos de Veracruz, FC Juárez and more recently Gallos Blancos de Querétaro.
After being part of the feathered ones, with whom he barely played seven minutes in the Grita México 2021 tournament, the 33-year-old footballer, originally from Monterrey, Nuevo León, remained as a free agent. The containment has not defined what his destiny will be for the Clausura 2022 and with which squad he will enroll to play the next tournament.
In his journey with the UANL team, Manuel Viniegra played 154 games, scored five goals and gave two assists. With the feline team, in which he debuted in 2007, he played a total of 10 thousand 162 minutes.
Outside of Tigres, Viniegra lived his best moments in Atlante, but he did not obtain the consistency and level that he showed with the Monterrey team. Where will Viniegra play the next tournament? Abroad, the Expansion League or the MX League?
