Happy Addictions: “We are looking for our kind of ska punk”
With The Last Fat Party, the Peruvian quintet proposes an aggressive and fast sound in what they have called their most solid record work.
“We’ve been looking for our kind of ska punk for a long time. There are more traditional ska or some ska bands that ended up doing cumbia, we keep insisting until we get to this album. Our most solid work that we call fat ska punk, with some inconsistencies between happy melodies and sad or introspective lyrics, but that reflect the spirit of Happy Addictions ”, commented Jose Rojas, guitar and voice of the band, through a statement.
“I’ve always been late for everything; however, in that search for years I feel that I no longer have so much to look for, we have found a space on how to do our ska ”, he concluded.
Recorded at Lima Noise Studio, with mixing and mastering by Bens Pop and Mastering.vip, La Último Fiesta Gorda has scheduled a tour throughout Peru that begins its first date on November 27 in The Road Festival from Ayacucho, in addition to releasing a limited number of craft beers under its own brand.
