Halo Infinite it is more defined with the announcement of the new ones rules established by 343 Industries for the competitive and ranked multiplayer, that is the component of the game more dedicated to the “pro” fans of the series and notoriously more demanding and traditionalists, with also a new video to present these novelties.
A squadron of competitive multiplayer specialists within 343 Industries presented the basic ruleset for this mode, demonstrating how the team has worked with considerable criteria also to meet the demands of the community of fans more tied to the tradition of the series.
So, no to chatter, these are the initial rules established for the ranked / competitive mode, which will be different from those decided for the “social” modes within Halo Infinite:
- The BR75 will be the starting weapon
- The motion cracker will be disabled
- Grenade hitmarkers will be disabled
- Friendly fire will be activated
- The modes will be Slayer, CTF, Stronghold and Oddball
- Weapons, equipment and grenades on maps will be stable in spawners, i.e. they will always appear in the same spot for each map / mode combination, with appearances at fixed time intervals
These are choices that will probably meet the favor of most users who are dedicated to ranked / competitive multiplayer, in particular as regards the activation of the friendly fire (which in fact many would also like in social modes, at least as an option), the use of the BR as a starting weapon and the deactivation of the motion tracker which were some of the most widespread requests.
To learn more about the game, we refer you to the tried and tested of the latest beta, considered a hymn to fun by Francesco Serino on these pages. In the meantime, we look forward to any news on the Campaign, which seemed to emerge based on a hint made by Aaron Greenberg of Microsoft.
