Iran seizes a US oil tanker off the coast of Oman
The Iranian Navy has an oil tanker seized in the waters of the Gulf of Oman following “a court order” authorizing the move. Ansa relaunches state media. “The Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has seized an American oil tanker in the waters of the Gulf of Oman in accordance with a court order,” the official IRNA news agency said.
The UK Maritime Safety Agency (UKMTO) and private company Ambrey had earlier announced that armed men “in military uniform” had boarded an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman.
