The first GP in front of his compatriots
For the first time in his Formula 1 career, Zhou Guanyu will dispute his Home GP in China, on the circuit in his hometown of Shanghai. For the 24-year-old it will therefore be a unique emotion, for which he is already preparing with some initiatives. Above all, that of special helmet which he will wear for the fifth round of the world championship, with a detail on the new livery that is as cute as it is atypical.

A tribute to an idol
Today he has to face him as a competitor, but already last year he had the opportunity to underline all the support for the man who won the first of his two world titles in 2005: “The first time I saw Fernando race was in 2004. At the time I knew nothing about motor racing, I was just a fan, but I watched his races and I dreamed of one day becoming a Formula 1 driver like him. The following year he won the Chinese GP and I already knew more about racing, I even had his flag. I wanted to be like him.”
