Green Pass, the government does not give up. Draghi: “Paid test”
The Coronavirus in Italy continues to be scary and so from today the Green Pass will become mandatory to access all workplaces, in the public and private sectors. The government has decided to go ahead, despite the pressure received. For the premier Mario Draghi – we read in the Press – we proceed as decided, without exceptions and without postponements. Today the obligation of green certification in the workplace is triggered. Those who did not comply are out, suspended and with their salary frozen. In this taste of warm autumn, the prime minister finds himself facing the first real test of the country’s social stability. But the threat to block Italy, initiated by the logistics operators, does not seem to worry Draghi too much. The Interior Ministry has provided him with a more reassuring picture on the management of the marches that will take place today and tomorrow in Rome and in other large cities.
The extraordinary commissioner at Covid Francesco Paolo Figliuolo – continues La Stampa – is optimistic about the numbers and aims to reach the goal of 90 percent vaccinated by mid-November. At that point, Draghi does not rule out the possibility of carrying out a first review on the extension of the Green Pass. There is a month left, however. And that’s no small feat, especially when you consider the fact that these are the days when seasonal flu begins to spread. And there are also steps forward on the non-EU vaccine front. Yesterday it was the general director of Aifa Nicola Magrini to announce it: “On the recognition for the purpose of obtaining the Green Pass of unauthorized vaccines within the European Union”, such as the Chinese or Russian one, “I believe there will be a favorable evolution. I think the idea of reciprocity between states, which is important, also from a foreign policy point of view and not just vaccination, will be favorably evaluated ”.
