On the new circuit of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia, Antonio Giovinazzi and Kimi Raikkonen they carried out a couple of test laps, before the race, with an Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm. The 2021 drivers of the Alfa Romeo-Sauber team enjoyed trying to scare each other (obviously Kimi did), and at a certain point they even gave a judgment to the car, fully engaged in a very fast and complex track.
In particular, Antonio Giovinazzi seemed particularly busy printing a quick lap aboard the Giulia GTAm. At one point, the Italian rider commented: “Braking is really good“, Suggesting a positive opinion that seemed sincere above all because it was out of the context of an advertising stunt. In response, the Finnish colleague commented: “Yes, the front slides a bit, but other than that …“

During the first lap, Giovinazzi was particularly concerned with Kimi’s knowledge of the track, who in fact is not one particularly interested in running laps on simulators. He doesn’t even go around the track on foot like the other riders, after all. Before each corner, the future Formula E championship driver tried in every way to slow down the 2007 world champion, shouting at him “it’s a hairpin, brake!“. But Raikkonen, unperturbed, continued on his fast lap.
