Millonarios seriously compromised their aspirations of advancing to the third phase of the Copa Libertadores, losing 1-2 against Fluminense, on Tuesday, at the Campín stadium.
In that game, Millos met again with one of his recent villains, the Argentine Germán Ezequiel Cano, who when he played in Colombian soccer used to frequently score for the Bogota club.

Cano had already scored goals against Millos in Colombia
Cano arrived in Colombia in mid-2011 to play for Deportivo Pereira, from Lanús, with the idea of helping save that club from relegation. The ballast that he brought in the permanence table made Pereira fall to B, but he had a good campaign: he scored 10 goals in 18 games.
After a short stint with Nacional de Paraguay, Cano returned to Colombia in mid-2012 to play for Independiente Medellín. Over time, in two stages at the club, Cano became DIM’s all-time top scorer in the League, with 117 goals, plus another 10 in the Copa Colombia, one in the Libertadores and one in the Sudamericana.
The team against which he scored the most goals during his time in Colombia was Millonarios. He converted seven in the League (including a triplet on October 11, 2014). In addition, he made another three in the only direct elimination match, in the 2019 Copa Colombia, in which Medellín was crowned champion. He made two for him in Bogotá and one at the Atanasio Girardot.

Cano left Medellín in 2020, heading to Vasco da Gama, in Brazil, where he stayed for two years, and in 2022 he was hired as a reinforcement by Fluminense to play the Copa Libertadores. And already, in his first match, he returned to score his favorite victim.
The Argentine had started the match as a substitute and came on for the experienced Fred in the first half, who left due to injury. And in the 77th minute, he took advantage of a Luis Henrique clearance to beat goalkeeper Álvaro Montero and score Fluminense’s winning goal. Cano has Millionaires as a son.
