Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili denied the information about the mass influx of Russian citizens into the country and said that such reports are part of disinformation against the authorities. Portal writes about it “News – Georgia”.
“This issue, as well as the massive influx of citizens from Russia, is also part of the discrediting campaign that we are waging against the authorities. This is what makes us wonder why such information is circulated so often,” he commented.
Papuashvili also noted that the land border between the countries is crossed mainly by trucks.
Earlier in March, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported a boom in demand for air tickets abroad with a departure in the coming days. According to experts, this is due to fears about the possible closure of borders for entry and exit from the country. “Many customers are willing to literally pay any money to fly abroad with a one-way ticket,” the experts noted.
