The world is trembling about the situation in the Middle East. This is also an important region for oil. But the price of gasoline in Germany is falling. What’s going on there?
Dhe Internet portal Clever Tanken calculated it quite soberly. The month of October, which was marked by the terrible news from Israel, did not lead to any new energy price shocks in Germany. In the meantime, an increase in prices at gas stations in this country has been observed. Looking at the month as a whole, petrol and diesel were even cheaper in October than in September. The impression that you could recently see slightly lower numbers on the display boards at gas stations was not misleading. According to the figures, a liter of Super E10 cost a national average of 1.8156 euros in October. That was around 7 cents less than in September and around 10 cents less than a year ago. A liter of diesel cost an average of 1.8212 euros. That was 1 cent less than in September and 29 cents less than a year ago.
Given the fears at the beginning of the conflict that it could mean a new oil crisis for the West like in the 1970s with drastically rising energy prices, falling fuel prices are notable. What’s behind it?
