Four people, including a police officer and a suspect, were killed in a shootout in the US Clayton County (Georgia, USA). This was announced on December 1 by the TV channel WSB-TV.
County police said officers had arrived for a domestic abuse call in an area south of Atlanta Metro Station. On the spot, the police found a child and a woman in the yard. While the officers were trying to provide assistance, someone started shooting from an unknown location. One of the police officers, two other women and the suspect were killed in the shootout.
County Police Chief Kevin Roberts said the 12-year-old child and another officer were injured. The child is in critical but stable condition. The officer, according to the doctors’ forecasts, will survive.
The suspect in the shooting was identified as Arthur Allen Gilliam, a 35-year-old man from Rex, Georgia.
Earlier, on December 1, in Michigan, there was a shooting at an Oxford school in a suburb of Detroit. The number of victims, according to the latest data, was four people. The suspected shooter was accused of terrorism.
