Fatal accident, a very young man loses his life: hunt for the hit-and-run driver

The accident that was reported in the early hours of the morning occurred during the night near Rome and the victim is a young man not even 30 years old.

In the early hours of Sunday, September 8, the boy from 28 years old lost his life in Acilia, on the outskirts of Ostia. The boy was traveling by motorbike when, having reached the intersection of via di Valle Porcina and via di Saponara, he was the protagonist of a very violent collision with a car.

The authorities are now looking for the driver of the Citroen involved in the accident who, apparently, was not at the scene of the accident when the emergency services arrived.

According to the first reconstructionsthe man, who was traveling with another person, stopped only for a few moments to see what had happened before leaving the scene and fleeing definitively. The agents of the XII Local Police Group are still investigating to understand who is responsible for the accident and, therefore, the one who fled. It is not easy to clarify exactly the dynamics of the collision between the young man on the motorbike and the car.

This latest incident brings the sad balance of road victims in the capital and the province to 111 since the beginning of the year. Another dramatic episode occurred yesterday, an accident involving Maurizio Amadori, 50 years old, who lost his life while going to work on his scooter. The accident occurred around 8 in the morning on Via Cassia. The emergency services arrived quickly and rushed him to the hospital, but the man died shortly after.
