Blaze Entertainment presented new models of its retro-home and portable consoles, with the announcement of Evercade EXP-R and Evercade VS-Rrevised and modified versions of the previous ones, which among other things are also notable for a change in the price of the laptop, which now it costs less than before.
The differences that immediately catch the eye are in the design: although the shapes are very similar to the original ones, they change colors which in this case go more towards dark tones, but there are also several other differences on the technical front.
The most important is probably the introduction of the new one Giga Cardthat is, a new type of larger cartridge, which will likely contain a greater quantity of games than previously seen.
A drop in price which however corresponds to something less
For the rest, an important difference can also be seen in the price, at least as regards one of the two.
The case of Evercade EXP-R, the laptop, is rather particular, as it has a lowest price compared to the original version, costing 119.99 euros at launch compared to 149.99 euros for the previous model.
However, the lowering of the price also derives from the fact that the Capcom games pre-installed inside are no longer present, due to the expiration of the agreements with the publisher, and furthermore it seems that the Mini-HDMI output which allowed you to connect the console to an external display, so on balance there may not be this great gain.
The domestic version, VS-R, will cost 109.99 euros, more or less equal to that of the original version. There exit date for both models it is July 24th, with pre-orders open from April 30th. In the meantime, we refer you to our review of Evercade EXP.
