What did Ethan Hawke say about “Moon knight”?
Through his recent public appearance, Ethan talked about the exploration of mental illnesses shown through the condition carried by the protagonist of “Moon knight”.
“Movie history is paved with storytellers using mental illness as a staple for the villain. I mean, there are countless stories of mentally ill villains, and we have a hero with a mental illness. And that is fascinating, because we have reversed the entire process”, were the words of the interpreter.
He continued, “Mohamed (the director) was really embracing mental illness as a way to create an unreliable narrator. And, once you’ve broken through the prism of reality, everything the audience sees is from a biased point of view.”
