Minister of Education announced a 10% increase in relation to 2021; is the 2nd lowest number of registrations since 2005
The Enem (National High School Exam) 2022 registered 3,396,597 applicants. The Minister of Education, Victor Godoy, released the information on his official profile of the twitter this Friday (June 3, 2022).
According to the minister, more than 2 million candidates were exempt from the payment fee. Godoy also highlighted a 10% increase in registrations compared to 2021 (3,109,762). The number of registered candidates, however, is the 2nd lowest since 2005, when 3,004,491 were registered.
The number of applicants and the amounts paid by the government to carry out the Enem plummeted with the president’s administration Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and the consequences of the covid-19 pandemic.
O Power 360 has already shown that the amount spent by the government on the evaluation has also been falling year after year, following the drop in enrollments. The average cost per candidate reached R$95.27 in 2018, the last year of the Temer government. In 2020, under Bolsonaro, it dropped to R$40.49. In 2021, BRL 41.55.
Registration for Enem 2022 started on May 10 and ended on May 21. The fee for this year’s tests was maintained at R$ 85. The payment period ended on May 27th.
Exams will be held on November 13 and 20. The application of the printed tests will follow Brasília time. Gates will open at 12 noon and close at 1 pm. Exams will start at 1:30 pm. On the 1st day of Enem, the tests will end at 19:00. On the 2nd day of testing, at 18:30.
