The UAE continues its support to brotherly Sudan with humanitarian aid to confront floods and torrential rains and their effects in several states in terms of human and material losses, within the framework of the continuous brotherly support and the strong relations between the two brotherly countries, according to Sudanese experts and analysts.
Floods and torrential rains caused by torrential rains have killed dozens and displaced thousands in Sudan, in addition to destroying thousands of homes over the past days in Darfur, Blue Nile, Kordofan and other Sudanese states.
UAE support for Sudan is not strange
Experts and analysts emphasized that the UAE’s support for Sudan to confront floods and floods and their negative effects is not strange from the state of peace and human brotherhood that supports all societies in times of crisis, stressing that the UAE always supports the Sudanese people in facing their crises, and this was evident in the recent crisis of torrents and floods.
Abdul Rahman Abu Khreis, Professor of Foreign Policy and National Security at the Diplomatic Center of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the UAE has done a lot of work to confront those affected, which hit many states such as Giza, River Nile, Kassala, West Darfur and others, explaining that this alleviates the suffering of thousands of Sudanese who have been subjected to destruction and displacement.
Abu Khreis thanked the wise leadership and the people of the UAE for their continuous support for the stability of Sudan and its people, noting that these positions reflect the humanitarian and civilized message of the UAE, which always stands next to the Sudanese people and other affected peoples in time of adversity.
He valued the humanitarian aid recently provided by the UAE, at nearly 25 million dirhams, to confront floods and torrential rains in Sudan, in addition to the support of the Red Crescent, which provided aid to Gezira State and other affected areas, pointing out that this aid comes within the framework of alleviating suffering and helping shelter those affected by the floods. that crisis.
Abu Khreis stressed that this is a continuation of the UAE’s foreign policy that supports the stability of Sudan and relieves the suffering of the Sudanese, whose crops, homes and lives were destroyed due to floods and torrents.
The UAE is always present to extend a helping hand
Earlier, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs called on donors and the international community to provide urgent support to replenish humanitarian aid stocks and continue responding to the floods that swept large areas in Sudan, killing about 100 people and injuring 46 others, as well as the displacement of thousands.
In addition, Asmahan Ismail Ibrahim, a Sudanese researcher in political science and international relations at the University of Khartoum, confirmed that the UAE has been providing humanitarian aid to Sudan, the latest of which is a support of 25 million dirhams, to confront the damage caused by torrential rains and floods, leaving thousands of families in the open and many dead.
She added to Al-Ittihad that this supportive stance for the people of Sudan is inseparable from the UAE’s stances towards brotherly and friendly peoples and its humanitarian policies, noting that last year’s floods caused severe damage and the UAE was present to extend a helping hand with the assistance of 100 tons of food and subsistence aid, in addition to medicines To counter the health effects of floods.
A tribute to the Emirati humanitarian role
The researcher, Ismahan Ismail Ibrahim, pointed out that the World Health Organization appreciated the humanitarian role of the UAE in helping the needy and vulnerable groups around the world, explaining that the UAE throughout history has played a strong supportive role for Sudan financially, in kind and politically in all international forums.
Asmahan stressed that the UAE’s position to ward off the effects of torrents and floods is a humanitarian position on the state of goodness and humanity, as it always supports Sudan in all circumstances, noting that the UAE has a humanitarian message based on helping those affected around the world.
Dr. Tamader Al-Tayeb, Professor of International Relations at the Center for Diplomatic Studies at the University of Khartoum, agreed on the UAE’s supportive role and support for Sudan in all its crises, explaining that the UAE is present in every crisis with humanitarian and food aid and material support.
