The hypothetical return of Alfa Romeo MiTo has been discussed on several occasions, with many fans of the brand who would like a car with this badge within the future range of the Biscione. The compact entry level of the Arese car manufacturer has represented for several years an affordable solution for various customers, thus allowing different motorists to approach the Italian brand. The departure of the MiTo has in fact opened a void in Alfa Romeo’s offer, a void that will be filled by Segment B SUV which will be produced in Poland and which is currently known by the name of Brenner.
However, the rumors about a possible return of MiTo continue to chase each other and in particular in the United Kingdom they have hypothesized the birth of a model with this name that will lead the Biscione to have an ultra-compact electric car that could be born on the CMP platform or even on the one used. for the new Fiat 500. A hypothesis that at the moment has not found any confirmation from the top management of the Arese car manufacturer but which has equally fueled the discussions around the opportunity to have another compact, which is not an SUV to expand the potential clientele of the brand. , all the more so if this model were conceived in an EV key only. The hypothetical its birth would then be in line with the electrification strategies of the Italian brand which from 2027 will only sell full electric cars.
While waiting to understand if there will be room for the eventual return of the Alfa Romeo MiTo, the designer and architect Tommaso D’Amico imagined the new generation of the Alfa compact car: a car with a modern style and built with the aim of addressing a young clientele, as described by the car designer himself who, however, does not imagine it as full electric but powered by a 190 HP 1.9 turbo engine combined with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. An exercise in style that will surely intrigue fans of this car and of the brand and that perhaps could also be appreciated by the new creative team of Arese.
