The event of the Ammar Award to support creators with disabilities concluded in its sixth season in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the slogan “Inspiration speaks Gulf” in the presence of a large number of officials from the Gulf countries and the Arab world, under the auspices of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and in the presence of the CEO of the Saudi Authority for Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Hisham Haidari.
The ceremony witnessed the crowning of the winners of the Ammar Prize in its various tracks, and the Emirati child with autism, Ahmed Al-Mousawi (12 years), won first place in the talent of playing. The talented Kuwaiti Sulaiman Al-Enezi, a motor disability, came second, and the blind Bahraini musician Ali Al-Alawi came third.
Saeed Al-Zahrani won the People with Disabilities Service track in the Individuals category for his project to maintain Braille machines for free throughout the Kingdom, while an Association for Them won in the Non-Profit Organizations category, for its Mushaf Al-Tibyan project, which is an interpreted Qur’an in sign language.
