Former pilot has a debt of R$ 416,055.76 with the company Sax Logística de Shows e Eventos
The Justice of São Paulo authorized the attachment of assets of Emerson Fittipaldi for the payment of debt with an event organization company. Here’s the intact (35 KB) of the decision of Judge Fabiana Marini, of the 35th Civil Court of the TJ-SP (Court of Justice of São Paulo).
According to the lawsuit, Fittipaldi owes BRL 416,055.76 to the company Sax Logística de Shows e Eventos.
The judge denied Fittipaldi’s defense request to suspend the attachment. The ex-driver’s lawyers argued that assets do not belong to the ex-driver, but to the Fittipaldi Museum.
“I refuse to accept the request for suspension of compliance with the attachment order, taking into account that the address at which it will be carried out belongs to the executed company and which, coincidentally, is the same address as the Fittipaldi Museum, indicating, in theory, evident patrimonial confusion, which may be discussed in the event of disregard of legal personality”, wrote the magistrate.
Emerson Fittipaldi was the 1st Brazilian Formula 1 and IndyCar champion. The Fittipaldi Museum houses the trophies won by the former driver and cars used by him in races.
Among them, Copersucar, from Scuderia Fittipaldi, a Formula 1 team created by Emerson and his brother Wilson Fittipaldi. Also, the vehicle used by the former driver when he won the Indianapolis 500 in 1989.
