The Italian translation was announced a few months ago, but now it is available for everyone: “Dungeons & Dragons – Phandelver and the Abyss: The Shattered Obelisk” It is the latest of the guide manuals made available by the guys at Wizards of the Coast.
The new adventure, which was set in the famous Phandelver Mines, takes inspiration from the successful video game Baldur’s Gate 3: in this new adventure, in fact, you will also have to face the threat of the monstrous Mind Flayers. These Illithids, who are the evil minds that hide behind the misdeeds of the goblins in the village of Phandalinare in league with a deity previously unknown to D&D fans, who roams the Remote Realm.
To mark this special launch, Wizards of the Coast has created a series of videos (in English) which illustrate the contents of the manual:
- An overview of the types of monsters and magic items players will encounter in this adventure.
- An in-depth look at mind flayers and new threats.
- Classic D&D monsters that have been modified.

The Dungeons & Dragons franchise never stops expanding: in addition to the new manual, in fact, the surprises for fans can go beyond the gaming table thanks to the collaboration with LEGO and the Horror video game Dead By Daylight.
