Duke of York stripped of another title in England over sex scandal

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, was left without an honorary title granted by the English city of York (Northern England) in 1987 by decision of the local authorities for his involvement in the sexual scandal of child abuse.

A vote carried out by councilors of that city ruled in favor of withdrawing the recognition that Prince Andrew had until now to the Freedom of the City of York.

The motion to strip the son of Queen Elizabeth II of that honor went ahead unanimouslywhile the councilors were also in favor of Andrés giving up his title of Duke of York for his alleged involvement in the sexual scandal in which he was involved in the United States.

Earlier this year, Buckingham Palace announced that the prince would be stripped of his military titles and charities.

in a New York court was formally dismissed last month after
that the parties signed an out-of-court private agreement in February for an undisclosed amount.

Giuffre has accused the brother of the heir to the British throne, Charles of England,
of having sexually abused her when she was a minor on three occasions, charges that the monarch’s son flatly denies.
