Unlike its previous generation, in recent years we have seen how PlayStation products have increased in price. According to Wario64, multiple stores, including PlayStation Direct, have increased the price of the DualSense by $5. Thus, The PlayStation 5 controller costs $75. For the moment, this has only happened in the United States, and it is currently unknown whether something similar will happen in the rest of the world.

This increase is in addition to the price increases we have seen in the current generation of PlayStation. This is a noticeable contrast compared to the PlayStation 4, which saw multiple price cuts, something that also happened with its accessories. However, It seems that Sony needs to recoup some of the investment it has made with its most recent products.especially considering all the best and unique elements present in its hardware.
We can only wait and see if the DualSense’s rise is replicated in other markets, such as Mexico. In related news, a special presentation on the future of the PS5 is taking place tomorrow, and a new DualSense with a better battery is also said to be on the way.
