Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles adds Yahaba and Susamaru to the Versus Mode roster
SEGA has announced the release of the second of its free post-launch updates for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles, now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One and Steam!
This update features two new playable demons that have been added to the Versus Mode roster, which you can learn more about below.
Yahaba
The first is Yahaba, a demon who teams up with Susamaru to ambush Tanjiro in Asakusa by order of Kibutsuji. He has eyes on both hands and can generate arrows that manipulate directional forces with his Blood Demon Art. These arrows can be used to stab enemies and slam them to the ground, or they can be used on rocks to hurl at opponents.
Yahaba’s arrows have two types of attacks: those that deal damage and those that don’t. Players can use harmless attacks to put some distance between them and the enemy. Then, once their guard is down, they can go on the offensive with high damage combos!
Susamaru
Susamaru is a demon with the appearance of a young girl who teams up with Yahaba to attack Tanjiro in Asakusa. Through the use of his powerful orbs he can keep his distance from any opponent. In the game, this makes her particularly strong against Demon Slayer Corps who prefer close-range combat.
Susamaru fights by throwing her orbs at the enemy while actively moving around the field. They are a great way to get an opponent to let their guard down and create effective combos that can deal large amounts of damage.
In addition to these new playable demons, more online missions have been added to the game that players must complete to earn Kimetsu points and unlock new rewards, such as new quotes and profile photos. Be sure to download and install the latest update (v1.20) today to unlock all this great new content!
Added 60fps mode
With this update, a new “60fps mode” has been added to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Steam versions of the game. Within this mode, the controllable sections of exploration and combat in the Story mode and some controllable sections in the offline Versus mode will be playable at 60 fps.
