According to official data, in May an average of 6 thousand infections per weekbut during the epidemiological week 21 of 2022, that is, from May 22 to 28, up to 12 thousand 265 infections. Double what had been reported since April.
The daily technical report for Tuesday, June 7, shared by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, June 7, details that in the epidemiological week 22from May 29 to June 4, 2022, the increase in cases was considerable compared to week 21 and earlier.
A general cumulative of 18 thousand 539 cases was registered.
The states that have presented an increase in the numbers of infections are, mainly: Aguascalientes, Baja California, Campeche, Mexico City, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Sinaloa and Yucatán,
They are followed by: Baja California Sur, Colima, Durango, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo and Veracruz.
