Claudio Armando: how did he achieve fame in Bolivia?
Speaking exclusively from Bolivia, Claudio Armando told La República that he had a tough adolescence and had to find ways to show his skills. He posted videos of his performances on Facebook and Instagram and went on the buses to get some kind of support. The singer is grateful for everything that happened to him because it has allowed him to be the artist he is today.
“I started singing in microphones since I was 11 years old, it has been part of my past life, my dream has been to reach this moment. It helped me grow a lot as a person, I come from the bottom, I really value the people who work day to day, the merchants. For me it was a nice stage to learn from it,” she says.
YOU CAN SEE: Claudio Armando leaves Los Capos and the group already has his replacement: who is it?
That's how he entered The Capos. The owners of the group found out about his talent when he was a minor, but he did not travel to Bolivia because he was not yet 18 years old. Once he came of age, he headed toward his dream, but it wasn't easy.
“Until I turned 18 I continued singing in cars and restaurants, and they told me (from Los Capos) come on your own. I arrived in Bolivia and here a new story began. At first I didn't get into it well, because I was new, at the time I simply danced and sometimes carried instruments, but they gave me the opportunity to record and I decided to make the most of it. I started uploading it to social networks, and the same fans began to spread it, that's why the opportunity arose,” he adds.
How was Claudio Armando's departure from Los Capos?
“I left through the front door”: this is how the young talent sums it up. He points out that he maintained close contact with the group and everything went well. “It was very calm, I talked about it with the group, I am very grateful to them, they are my friends, it was like a school for me, I admire them very much, they are my family, we are in communication, they gave me the 'kick' of luck,” he says.
Where will your debut be and why will you have your own group?
With six unreleased songs on the way, Claudio Armando He already has two confirmed presentations. The first will be on February 8, in La Paz, and then on the 10th in Puno. His intention is to continue delighting his audience with his charisma and joy with a new proposal.
“I feel very prepared, but I am not alone either. There is a very large team that is with me, that is carrying this strongly. I want to transcend the world of music, with my own ideas, with new proposals. Now I am concentrating on unreleased compositions, in the style of southern cumbia. In the future, I would love to do a collaboration with a big artist, that is why I decided to leave (Los Capos) to be able to pursue new horizons and obviously with southern cumbia. I want to internationalize southern cumbia. That's what I'm aiming for, that southern cumbia is heard in many places, that's why I want to work a lot, even if it costs me”, he maintains.
Why did you decide to call yourself La Pantera?
Claudio explains that his objective is to show originality and that is why he did not opt for a name that is customary in southern music. He says that the panther is the animal that most resembles him. “My spirit is like a panther, I am bold, fearless, stealthy, protective and I have many 'claws' to eat the stage, I gain a lot of strength in my difficult moments,” he indicates.
Specifically, regarding one of these aspects, protective, the artist puts it into practice a lot. He claims that his private life is 'the most sacred thing' to him. But he does detail that he is going through a good time with her partner and she has become a very important support.
Dreams and discipline
“When you dream, there are no limits, there are no schedules, to realize it you must comply and continue dreaming. My own dreams took me to Bolivia. In fact, my whole family told me 'What are you doing there', I always told them that my desire is to sing. Now I am going to give my fans the best that I have, with my group, they are used to my joy and charisma, in this new group I am going to give them 100%. Trust that I am going to give my best, this time you will have one more bonus,” she concludes.
