China to send troops to Russia for military exercises

The Chinese Ministry of Defense announced today that they will send troops to Russia to participate at the end of August in joint military exercises with other countries, including India Y Belarus.

The participation of China in the joint exercises “is not related to the current international and regional situation,” the ministry said in a statement.

The military entity indicated that these exercises are intended to deepen pragmatic cooperation between countries, improve the level of strategic collaboration between the participating parties and strengthen the ability to respond to various security threats.

In a speech at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the seat of the Legislature, President Xi considered that the Army has returned honor to China.

According to the Ministry of Defense, these are the “Vostok 2022” (East 2022) maneuvers, to be held on Russian territory between August 30 and September 5.
