John Kelvin is in the eye of the storm after having released his new song “I ask for forgiveness”. In this sense, the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE) opened an investigation against the cumbia singer, because he did not have permission to record his voice inside the prison, where he was held for sexual assault and rape to the detriment of his still wife. Dahlia Duran.
Why will John Kelvin be investigated by INPE?
Through an official statement, the prison entity explained the measures it will take regarding this problem involving John Kelvin. Let us remember that the artist was sentenced to 21 years in prison in the Lurigancho prison and, although he has appealed with his lawyer, the Judiciary has not ruled in his favor.
According to INPE, John Kelvin did not obtain permission to record the song, so he would be breaching one of the established security regulations.
“The prison authorities They rule out that the recording took place in that detention center, because there is no possibility that the internal referral could have made that type of audio. Nevertheless, INPE has launched a preliminary investigation into the incident”, reads one of the points of the announcement.
Likewise, they emphasize that they will continue to “deploy their best efforts” so that persons deprived of liberty, as is the case of John Kelvin, comply with the measures of order and discipline within the prisons.
