Chiara Venuti still lives and will live forever in her mother’s heart: the tragedy dates back to the night between 9 and 10 February 2019
It was the night between 9 and 10 February 2019, when Chiara Venuti lost his life at the age of 25. A story that caused a lot of discussion, after a parent tried to take on the responsibilities of his over 30-year-old son.
Chiara Venuti was driving the car, together with two other friends and they had spent one beautiful night at the disco. She hadn’t drunk alcohol, so she was behind the wheel. They were returning and just near the house, the unimaginable happened.
An Audi has flooded the lane of the 25-year-old, at a high speed and took full advantage of her car. Faced with what he had just done, the boy thought of alarming his father instead of help. The latter rushed to the spot and has pretending that he was behind the wheel.
The investigators came immediately suspiciousgiven the lack of injuries on his body, despite the severe crash.
The real culprit was gone for three days and, in the end, he was constituted. He was sentenced to six years of imprisonment. It also turned out that he was driving under the influence of cannabis.
Today the mom by Chiara Venuti is back to talk about the loss of her daughter and how even today, things on the Italian streets have not changed.
That night, she got a call. Her daughter was still breathing, so she rushed to the spot. The car had gone into a ditch. The rescuers were there, they were pulling out the two friends, Giusy and Elena. But when it was Chiara’s turn, a civil protection man has shook my head. At that precise moment, her mother’s life stopped forever.
Today try to keep his memory alive, talking about her, living life as if she were still by her side. He remembers how much he loved studying, acting and throwing parties. It’s about those latest and beautiful photos in the club.
In an interview with The Corriere della Serathe woman stated that she had never given weight to the sentence decided and neither to the fact that no one has ever apologized to her or to the fact that the intervention of that parents did not had consequences.
What this mother wants, is that people understand how to drive in certain states, can break other people’s lives and forever change that of those who loved them: “There is still a lot to do on prevention”.
