Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The mayor of Mazatlan, Luis Guillermo “Chemist” Benítez Torres, estimated that for the dates of the Carnival the town is in Covid-19 green traffic light.
“I cannot guarantee it, I am very interested in the governor’s opinion and the conditions of the pandemic, at least the trend tells us that we are going to be almost green,” said the Chemist.
He ruled out that the cases of Covid-19 increase with massive events.
The municipal president of Mazatlán assured that in the New Year’s event, the events of the stadiums, the cases of Covid-19 did not grow.
“The phenomenon that is taking place is that there are so many infected but there are twice as many recovered and it is going down, the graphs do not even lie, that is why I am very confident that the carnival will take place,” said Luis Guillermo Benítez.
The municipality analyzes the realization of the citizen consultation that was planned for February 6.
Benítez Torres made a consultation where the results showed that the majority of people do want carnival.
Young people from 18 to 56 years old if they endorse the maximum party of the port, in addition to businessmen.
The burning of the sea humor would be in Avenida del Mar to avoid crowds.
The municipality asserted that the profit from the carnival festivities goes to the businessmen.
Hoteliers are already 80 percent booked.
El Químico announced that the carnival parade would begin on Calle Zaragoza and end at Camarón Sábalo.
