Real Madrid Castilla continues in free fall after accumulating a new defeat in San Fernando, in a duel marked by the early expulsion of Marín, which left Raúl’s men at the mercy of the Cadiz side, led by Juanmi Callejón (former from the Whites’ academy), Ferrón and Biabiani. However, the reserve team turned around, held on for a long time at 1-1 and was able to score a point, but ended up winning the best performance of the islanders. Castilla have not won since the beginning of January (although two games have been postponed due to COVID, still pending recovery) and the promotion play-off looms very farwhile the heat of the descent is already noticeable on the backs of Raúl’s pupils.
The Castilla coach is committed to a system of three central defenders and two lanes with which he cannot dominate, does not attack in an overwhelming way either and continues to suffer in defense. At 25 minutes, San Fernando had already caught him twice in the back of the central defenders: Ferrón scored the first time, finishing off the body of Fuidias; in the second, Biabiani broke Gila with a cut and was then knocked down by Marín, who had already seen a yellow card, so he took the path to the locker room early. Ferrón did not miss the opportunity from eleven meters.
Losing and with one less, Raúl made no changes, he was left with a line of four and trusted that he would reach him with a pure midfielder (White), two interiors (Arribas and Morante) and two forwards (Latasa and Álvaro). With hardly any arrival from the outside, the entire subsidiary focused on quick transitions on the inside, and in one of them, Arribas, the most talented midfielder of the team, appeared to equalize with a low left foot. On the bench, Peter and Aranda were waiting for the opportunity, two players who have lost weight in abundance for Raúl. And Castilla well notice it.
The second part painted like that of the first team in Paris: endure the downpour and try to catch one on the counter. But Sanz ruined the plan in minute 57, with a shot after a corner in which Miguel Gutiérrez fell asleep on his mark. Raúl kept the plan, Castilla solidified behind trusting that the opportunities would come, and without a doubt they did, but all poorly clinched. Latasa did not take advantage of his size shortly after the 2-1. And Álvaro provoked the direct expulsion of Juan Rodríguez, who equalized the contest; out of anger, coach Nacho Castro also saw a red card.
Benito had the 3-1 in his boots on the counterattack; he was not precise, Fudias took the shot. Raúl did not believe the occasion that Gudjohnsen missed, only in the small area did he fail to finish well with a header, when it was already 2-2. And in the 90th minute, with Castilla upended, Luis Ruiz made it 3-1 in the end after a break and a sharp right hand. A goal that could not be if Gudjohnsen scores what seemed infallible, but that in short did justice to what was seen on the lawn of Bahía Sur. Castilla, like his pants on the Island (something on TV), is still very, very green.
